Luton Mela 2015
During the first weekend of August 2015, Radio LaB’s Freya McCann enjoyed ‘Luton Mela’ at Wardown Park, an annual event that’s been running since the year 2000. Originating from South Asia, the word ‘Mela’ traditionally comes from the Sanskrit ‘To Meet’.
Freya took her recorder and spoke to some of the events participants and organisers to find out more about why Luton Mela is so special.
UoB New Luton Library - Update
